The Opportunity

As a Management Accountant, you will form part of the in-house Finance team across a broad range of accounting and reporting activities in a fast-paced renewable energy environment. This role will be focused on the Commercial business unit within the organisation and suit someone who enjoys ownership of tasks, working cross-functionally, and contributing to continuous improvement within an evolving business.

Responsibilities Include

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and working papers in line with company procedures and accounting standards.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Analyse project performance and variances against budget and highlight trends.
• Act as a finance business partner to the Sales and Commercial teams.
  Be comfortable in analysing project contracts to identify risks, cashflow implications, pricing models, service levels and performance obligations
• Lead and support budget and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, VAT RTD, RCT and CIS returns in a timely and compliant manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
  • Ensure financial data integrity across accounting systems and support system improvements where required.
  • Adhere to, and help develop, internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake ad hoc finance and reporting tasks as required to support the growing business.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role, within an in-house or industry environment.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience/knowledge of multi country EU tax is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare management accounts for reporting purposes together with cost analysis back up
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Sage Accounts, Intact IQ and Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Office based role so must live within a commutable distance of our HQ in Carrickmacross.
