Lead Accountant

Job Summary:

Responsible for general ledger maintenance, journal entries and assistance in preparing monthly financial statements for related entities for both individual facility and consolidated financial statements, for internal and external reporting. Also responsible for the daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations, Accounts receivable subledger reconciliation and entries, Fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting and annual inventory counts for both material and fixed assets, assisting with prepaid and accrual accounting, and maintaining accurate property ledgers for all of the entities’ fixed assets. Accountant will be required to calculate statistics and key statistics into general ledger and reporting tools. Provides assistance with the preparation of the annual budget, invoice expense coding and variance analysis. Accountant may be assigned tax accounting, banking tasks, investment accounting tasks, lease accounting tasks, foundation/grant accounting work and debt accounting tasks. Accountant may also receive special projects on occasion as needed. Accountant will assist in preparing end of year workpapers for audit and tax returns.
