Pay Range: $31.49 - $47.24/hr.  / $65,499.20 - $98,259.20 annually

MAJOR FUNCTION
This is a highly responsible position in the field of governmental finance of an enterprise fund and Landfill Operations services resulting in complex budget and financial calculations to reconcile income and expenses. This position examines scale house operations financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations; inspects account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures; organizes and maintains financial records; examines financial operations and make best- practices recommendations to management. In addition to examining and preparing financial documentation, the accountant must explain their findings. This includes preparing written reports and meeting face-to-face with organization managers.

 Responsibilities include supervisory duties of the Scale House operations/personnel.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

Hands-on supervision of daily scale house operations and activities of Scale Operations Representatives. Duties include, but are not limited to:

In case of emergency or scale outages, assists staff with outdoor activities such as traffic monitoring, directing traffic, running tickets, etc…
