OverviewWe're looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team — a great fit for someone who is right out of school or finishing up their degree and eager to build a career in accounting and finance. This role reports to the Controller and provides broad exposure to financial analysis, accounting operations, and reporting across a rapidly growing, multi-entity retail company.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset — a self-starter who takes ownership, asks questions, and looks for ways to improve how things work rather than waiting to be told. We move fast and grow fast, and we want someone who's motivated to grow with us.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Management Analysis
- Support financial and management analysis across business units, including KPI tracking and monitoring
- Assist with expense management and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
- Support inventory management and analysis, partnering with operations to improve accuracy
- Provide analytical support for due diligence on new acquisitions and special projects
- Help prepare analysis presented to senior leadership
Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Assist with transaction accounting across multiple corporate entities
- Support reconciliation of monthly accounts, including bank statement reviews
- Help resolve discrepancies and respond to vendor and customer inquiries
Data & Financial Reporting
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting and month-end close support
- Prepare data analysis and reports using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and other tools
- Support sales and use tax filing and related compliance reporting
- Help maintain accurate, organized records to support audits and GAAP compliance
Other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative without a lot of hand-holding
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or actively pursuing one — recent graduates and upcoming graduates encouraged to apply
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, including financial statement preparation
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness to tasks and questions
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow — above-average growth is expected in line with the company's rapid growth
- Resourceful in using AI tools to expedite research, analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Google Suite a plus
- Experience with an ERP system (preferably Intacct) a plus, though not required
- This is a full-time, in-person position based in Eatontown, NJ
- Prolonged periods of working on a computer
