Finance Junior Analyst with a strong focus on data extraction, data governance, and foundational finance knowledge. This role is suited for a detail-oriented professional who can support finance and operations teams by gathering, validating, organizing, and maintaining reliable data used for reporting and decision-making.The analyst should be comfortable working with information from multiple systems, reviewing data for accuracy, identifying inconsistencies, and helping maintain clean, standardized datasets. This position requires basic understanding of financial concepts such as budgets, actuals, accounting mapping for reporting, basic accounting principles, and financial reporting structures.Preferred experience includes working in or supporting power, utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction, or field-services companies, especially where financial data is connected to projects, crews, labor, equipment, or subcontractor activity.Key Responsibilities and Qualificationsï·Extract, clean, and organize data from ERP, finance, operational, and reporting systems.ï·Validate data accuracy and completeness before it is used in reports, dashboards, or analysis.ï·Reconcile data between source systems and official reporting outputs to identify gaps, timing differences, or inconsistencies.ï·Support data governance practices, including documentation, standard definitions, validation checks, and consistent reporting logic.ï·Maintain organized files, data logs, templates, and supporting documentation.ï·Assist in identifying process improvements related to data collection, reporting, and data quality.ï·Apply basic finance and accounting knowledge when reviewing financial and operational datasets.ï·Communicate clearly with finance, operations, project, and reporting teams to resolve data questions.Preferred Skills and Experienceï·Basic finance or accounting knowledge.ï·Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.ï·Exposure to SQL, Power BI, ERP systems, or reporting platforms is preferred.ï·Experience working with structured financial or operational data.ï·Preferred experience in power companies, utilities, transmission, distribution, substations, energy infrastructure, or related field-services environments.ï·Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.ï·Ability to work with confidential financial and operational information.
