Junior Accountant (Temporary/Part-Time)

Temporary, Part-Time (16 hrs) | 3 Month Contract | Schedule: Monday, Tuesday

PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities. We’re seeking an exceptional Junior Accountant to join our Corporate Services team in Downtown Vancouver.

Because life at PARC is nothing short of extraordinary, we are seeking an individual with the same high standards to fill this position. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the organization. This includes:

• Prepare and record journal entries, including assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
• Assist with monthly and annual internal and external financial reporting
• Process invoices and employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and approvals prior to payment
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Perform bank reconciliations by verifying, allocating, and reconciling transactions
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Diploma in Business with a focus or strong interest in accounting, or equivalent related work experience
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with basic computer applications
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and Elevate is considered an asset
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess risks and identify opportunities
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with change and ambiguity
• Resilient, resourceful, and creative in approaching challenges
