ASI is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reconciliations and reporting, and supporting internal financial processes. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions and assign entries to appropriate accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing reports and analyzing variances between budgeted and actual costs.
• Assist in maintaining accounting systems and financial recordkeeping processes using current accounting software and technology.
• Support payroll and employee deductions related to healthcare benefits and other accounting functions.
• Assist with tax documentation and ensure compliance with reporting and payment requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to provide accurate financial information and documentation.
• Analyze financial data, costs, revenues, and operational trends to support business decision-making.
• Maintain organized accounting files, records, and supporting documentation.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of accounting or related experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and accounting software such as QuickBooks and COINS preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of office and administrative procedures.

Work Environment

• This role operates primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment and computer systems.

Physical Demands

• Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and office equipment operation.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and extended computer work.

Schedule and Work Hours

• Full-time position.
• Monday through Friday schedule with occasional overtime as needed.
