Investor Accounting & CRM Specialist (IMS Platform)

Lion Real Estate Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investor Accounting & CRM Specialist to join our Accounting & Finance team in Sherman Oaks, California. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced real estate investment environment and enjoys combining accounting precision with investor data management and reporting.

Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting/Finance, this position plays a critical role in maintaining investor financial records, supporting investor reporting processes, and managing investor data within the IMS platform.

What You’ll Do

Investor Accounting & Financial Support

• Track and reconcile investor capital activity, including contributions and distributions 
• Maintain investor capital account records and ownership data 
• Assist with investor-related accounting reconciliations and reporting schedules 
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes tied to investor activity 
• Coordinate with Accounting leadership to ensure investor reporting aligns with finalized financials 

IMS Platform & Investor Data Management

• Serve as a primary administrator of the IMS investor platform 
• Maintain accurate investor profiles, investment records, and entity structures 
• Upload investor reports, notices, K-1s, and supporting documentation to the investor portal 
• Manage investor access and document workflows within IMS 
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies between systems 

Investor Reporting & Coordination

• Assist in preparing and distributing: 
  • Capital call notices 
  • Distribution notices 
  • Quarterly investor reporting packages 
• Support tax document coordination and K-1 distribution processes 
• Respond to internal requests related to investor data and reporting 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Accounting, Capital Markets, and Asset Management teams 
• Help improve reporting workflows and investor data processes 
• Support fundraising and investor communication efforts through accurate CRM management

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 
• 3+ years of accounting, investor reporting, fund accounting, or related experience 
• Experience with IMS (Investor Management Services) strongly preferred 
• Real estate, multifamily, private equity, or investment management experience preferred 
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills 
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail 
• Ability to manage confidential financial information professionally and accurately
