Position Objective:
A key challenge in this role is ensuring consistent availability of materials and the timely release of work to support efficient shop floor execution. Strong emphasis will be placed on improving manufacturing throughput, reducing lead times, increasing inventory turns, and improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include basic material analysis and planning, change management control, generating purchase orders for external suppliers, disposition of inactive and obsolete inventory, and maintaining the integrity of system data. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and operate with a safety-first mindset.
Principal Accountabilities
Principal accountabilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Accountable for accurately creating, maintaining, releasing, and reconciling production orders
- Work closely with warehousing to have raw material released in a timely manner
- Schedule machines to keep them at capacity
- Ability to analyze aged WIP and review inactive and obsolete material
- Daily internal communication with shipping, receiving, warehouse, quality control, inspection and production
- Working in a team environment by attending and participating in scheduled meetings, supporting established team business goals and adhering to the team’s ground rules and norms
This position has some direct client interface and represents Solar Turbines to external Suppliers. Internal contacts can include any of the following: Finance, Production, Warehousing, Inspection, Shipping/receiving, Purchasing, and Engineering.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 Family (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc)
- Basic computer skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to effectively work in a team environment
- Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, time management, and the ability to communicate effectively
Preferred requirements:
- Associates degree
- Experience in manufacturing/inventory control/planning environment
Summary Pay Range: Target salary is approx. $62-75K depending on experience

Summary Pay Range:
