In this high-visibility role, you will oversee the financial accuracy of €600m in UK Stock and WIP, partnering closely with operational teams, senior leadership, and external auditors to optimize stock flows, controls, and cash performance. Working alongside transnational colleagues to harmonize best practices across Airbus Commercial, you’ll translate complex inventory flows into clear P&L and Balance Sheet impact while shaping future strategy. If you excel at bridging technical accounting with cross-functional business partnering to drive real operational change, this role offers an exceptional platform to influence key stakeholders across the business. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM: Ensuring accuracy of the balance sheet inventory valuation in the financial accounts, which includes significant support to external audit to confirm that Airbus UK can substantiate the valuation and quantity of inventory. Month end transactions and reporting to secure accurate and on time delivery of inventory related financials for corporate reporting, with robust review of the quality of the inventory data. Act as a business partner to various stakeholders in Financial controlling and Operations in order to drive key inventory management topics such as stock counts, review of slow move stock, stock obsolescence, stock coverage, storage location rationalisation, stock at vendor Assist in devising the way forward, representing accounting, to ensure clear accountability and ownership across the organisation for robust Inventory review and strategic decisions. Be responsible for understanding the complex, technical inventory flows in SAP and support the whole business (Finance & Operations) in anomalous transactions / processes to ensure the correct financial output. Be the primary focus for Financial Controlling in relation to Inventory queries and stakeholder management, engaging key Operational stakeholders where required. Educate on complex processes to empower the Finance and Operational community Involvement in transnational projects to ensure the correct Inventory financial flows and harmonised global approach ABOUT YOU: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and educate Technical skills to understand complex manufacturing flows and systems (SAP & SAC) Ability to work with various Stakeholder and all levels of management - negotiate, influence, educate Confidence to work with Finance and non-Finance teams to reinforce Financial processes Team player - within the team and with multifunctional teams Lean mindset - to approach a process / problem in a streamlined way to improve the process Self-driven - to investigate and resolve issues in conjunction with the business to a suitable conclusion.
