The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing tax team at an incredibly exciting part of its growth journey, with the firm having recently joined RSM US, RSM UK and RSM Canada in a transatlantic merger to establish a partner-owned multinational organisation with 23,000 professionals and combined annual revenues of $5 billion (USD).
Due to continued growth and ambitious plans for further expansion in Ireland, RSM Ireland is recruiting for the position of International Tax Director to join our Tax team. This role is based in Dublin and will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to accelerate their knowledge, skills, and development in a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive team, working with lots of fantastic clients along the way.
The role will entail working as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve a range of international and domestic clients across a diverse range of sectors. A key part of the role will be to work with existing corporate tax senior management in developing the firm’s corporate tax service offering.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a significant Corporate Tax client portfolio.
- Opportunity to lead advisory projects including M&A, due-diligence, IP planning, and reorganisation assignments.
- Coordinating and collaborating with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
- Leading business winning initiatives, including identifying and cross selling business opportunities and leading tender processes to potential new business partners.
- Providing strong technical guidance to ensure the delivery of a quality Corporate Tax and related advice to our clients within budget and to agreed timeframes.
- Leading a team of professionals to ensure a high-quality talent experience for our staff and overseeing all associated management activities.
- Contributing to the strategic planning within the business unit and to firm wide initiatives.
About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- ITI and ACA / ACCA.
- Practice experience at a senior level within a Top 10 firm.
- Experience in leading engagement teams on complex assignments.
- Ability to foster trusted relationships with our clients, combined with strong commercial expertise.
- Prior experience of working with FDI cases (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong Microsoft applications skills; Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with AI and tax research tools
