The role

As a member of our Tax Team, you will contribute to tax compliance, planning, and client service initiatives. As an Intermediate Tax Associate, you will take ownership of core tax files while building your technical expertise and begin contributing more actively to tax planning and client interactions. What you will do Tax Compliance & Technical Work

Prepare corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns with increasing complexity Review basic tax returns prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness Prepare detailed tax analysis on a variety of tax issues Assist in the preparation of tax planning memos, including basic reorganisations and estate planning support Conduct tax research and draft supporting documentation and correspondence

Client & Engagement Support

Work collaboratively with tax and audit partners, as well as broader engagement teams Manage multiple client files with moderate supervision, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met Begin participating in client communications on routine matters

Team Contribution & Development

Support the training and development of Tax Associates and junior staff Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment and knowledge sharing Continue to build technical expertise through formal learning (CPA/In-Depth Tax) and on-the-job experience

What You Bring

CPA designation in progress (or nearing completion) 2–3+ years of Canadian tax experience (or equivalent progression including co-op terms) Strong foundation in Canadian income tax, including corporate tax return preparation Exposure to tax research and basic tax planning concepts preferred Experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep, iFirm or similar tax software

Skills & Competencies

Developing ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills (written and verbal), including drafting client-ready documentation Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and client service
