Intermediate Accountant

Mikisew Group LP, a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant. The position is based out of the Enoch Capital Region.

The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of intermediate accounting functions effectively within a teamwork environment which places a premium on the ability to adjust to changing priorities, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations
• Resolve invoicing discrepancies and address concerns
• Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports
  • Create journal entries for AR accruals with supporting documentation
  • Conduct project reporting and ratio analysis
• Provide AR and KPI reporting insights
• Review and approve AR invoices for accuracy
• Oversee AR cash application and collections processes
• Prepare and review rate builds
• Manage SAP work type setups and updates
• Participate in financial and vendor audits
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
• Communicate with site management and administrative teams
• Deliver ad-hoc reporting and support on special projects
• Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company/organizational objectives.

Working Conditions

• Working in an office environment
• Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• Experience in the oil and gas or construction industry is an asset
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP B1)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
• CPA designation in progress is preferred
