Unlike a traditional operational auditor or IT auditor, the Integrated Auditor is expected to understand the interdependencies between business operations, data and technology. The Integrated Auditor also contributes continuous improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and strategic audit planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the planning and execution of operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits.
· Perform audit testing to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls
· Document audit workpapers that clearly support testing performed and conclusions reached.
· With limited supervision, conduct interviews to gather pertinent information regarding department functions, policies, and procedures.
· Assist in the testing of annual FDICIA controls including performing and documenting walkthroughs and testing reconciliations.
Competencies Required
· Experience analyzing business, operational, financial, or technology-related information and applying professional judgment to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support decision-making.
· Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize information from multiple sources to communicate meaningful insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
· Proficiency in standard Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, SharePoint)
· Inquisitive, critical thinker with business and technology risk awareness, professional skepticism, and sound judgment.
· Basic understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance frameworks.
· Knowledge of operational auditing, process improvement, and business process analysis.
· Knowledge of information technology risks and controls.
· Understanding of application controls, automated controls, system interfaces, and data management concepts.
· Ability to understand and evaluate integrated business and technology processes.
· Ability to research, assimilate information, apply effective problem solving and analytical skills, and influence issue resolution.
· Strong written and verbal communication, interviewing, and presentation skills.
· Familiarity with automation frameworks and RPA tools.
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees.
· Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
· Team player with the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion under limited supervision.
