The Income Tax Analyst will support the Company's federal, state, and international income tax compliance and reporting functions. This position assists with preparing corporate income tax returns, tax provisions under ASC 740, account reconciliations, tax research, and audit support activities. The Income Tax Staff will work closely with members of the Tax, Accounting, Finance, and Legal teams to gather and analyze tax-related information, maintain compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, and support the Company's tax reporting obligations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly proficient in Excel, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic corporate tax department.
Responsibilities of the Income Tax Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Tax Compliance
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns, including Forms 1120, 5471, and related filings.
- Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for income tax returns, including tax calculations, depreciation, and amortization adjustments.
- Gather and organize financial and tax data necessary for compliance and reporting.
- Assist in ensuring timely and accurate tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740.
- Prepare reconciliations of current and deferred income tax accounts.
- Support the reconciliation of income tax balances between the general ledger and tax return positions.
- Assist in preparing tax-related financial reporting schedules and disclosures.
- Conduct tax research on federal, state, and international tax issues to support compliance and reporting requirements.
- Assist in maintaining documentation supporting tax positions, filings, and tax provision calculations.
- Monitor tax law and regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to the tax team.
- Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, preparing responses to information requests, and supporting communications with taxing authorities and external advisors.
- Maintain organized tax records and workpapers to support audit readiness and defense.
- Prepare schedules and analyses as needed for tax examinations and audits.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, and other departments to obtain information necessary for tax compliance and reporting.
- Assist in reviewing transactions and business activities for tax implications.
- Support special projects and tax planning initiatives as assigned.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, workpaper standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage Excel and tax technology tools to improve accuracy, reporting, and productivity.
- Assist in automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the tax department.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards through training and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to expanding technical tax knowledge and skills.
- Actively seek opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the tax function.

Qualifications of Income Tax Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
· 0 - 2 years of experience in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
· Basic understanding of federal and state income tax concepts and accounting principles.
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.
· Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new concepts, systems, and processes.
· Eagerness to develop technical tax knowledge and grow professionally within the tax function.
Preferred:
· Master’s degree in taxation or accounting preferred.
· Progress toward CPA certification or intention to pursue CPA licensure.
· Experience with tax preparation software, ERP systems, or tax provision software is a plus.
· Internship or prior experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or accounting preferred.
