Human Resources Generalist - Payroll 1.0 FTE Thunder Bay Site One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking 1 full-time Human Resources Generalist - Payroll who will be responsible for the provision and overseeing all functions of payroll, pension / benefits administration and related functions for NorWest Community Health Centres.
The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario’s Pension Plan (HOOPP) and an excellent group health benefits package.
The salary range for this position is $67,312 to $81,495 per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in human resources, payroll administration, finance (or equivalent). Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or commitment to pursuing designation. Experience processing payroll, preferably in a unionized environment, a non-profit, charitable, broader public sector or health care setting considered an asset. Experience working with an integrated HR/Payroll system (Dayforce) Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Ontario payroll regulations and employment legislation. Experience with collective agreement, benefit and pension administration. Experience with year-end processing. Understanding of accounting principles – general ledgers Ability to work outside regular business hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
