Role Summary The HRIS & Payroll Implementation Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful integration of newly acquired organizations into Dayforce with a primary focus on payroll configuration, payroll testing, compliance validation, and implementation readiness. This role serves as a key operational and technical partner between HR, Payroll, Finance, and implementation stakeholders to ensure payroll systems are configured accurately, tested thoroughly, and deployed successfully. This individual will play a critical role in validating payroll functionality across multiple concurrent acquisitions and HR transformation projects, including payroll setup, earnings and deduction validation, tax and banking configuration support, payroll balancing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). The role requires strong analytical skills, systems thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve payroll-related risks before go-live. The HRIS & Payroll Implementation Analyst will also support workforce standardization efforts and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and labor requirements, including certified payroll and prevailing wage obligations where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Systems Implementation & Testing
Support Dayforce payroll implementations for newly acquired organizations from planning through post-go-live stabilization
Configure and validate payroll-related system components including earnings, deductions, taxes, pay groups, direct deposit structures, accruals, and labor allocations
Lead payroll-focused user acceptance testing (UAT), parallel payroll testing, and payroll balancing activities
Develop and execute detailed payroll testing scripts and validation procedures
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll configuration issues prior to production deployment
Coordinate payroll cutover activities and support go-live readiness assessments
Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and implementation teams to validate payroll outputs and employee pay accuracy
Assist with payroll data conversion validation and reconciliation efforts during acquisitions and system transitions
HRIS & Process Integration
Coordinate migration of employee payroll and workforce data into Dayforce
Support standardization of payroll, timekeeping, onboarding, and workforce administration processes
Identify gaps between legacy payroll practices and corporate standards and recommend remediation plans
Assist with development and maintenance of implementation documentation, SOPs, testing templates, and payroll validation checklists
Support reporting validation and payroll audit processes
Certified Payroll & Compliance
Support setup and validation of certified payroll requirements for acquired entities where applicable
Assist in ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws, Davis-Bacon requirements, and related reporting obligations
Validate job classifications, fringe benefit structures, union configurations, and labor allocations in partnership with HR, Payroll, and Finance
Support payroll compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting activities
Project & Operational Support
Support multiple concurrent implementation projects and acquisition integrations
Track implementation risks, issues, dependencies, and testing outcomes
Participate in implementation planning meetings, status reviews, and post-go-live support activities
Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the implementation process
Provide end-user support, troubleshooting assistance, and knowledge transfer where needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
3–5+ years of experience supporting payroll systems, HRIS implementations, payroll operations, or payroll testing activities
Hands-on experience with payroll validation, payroll balancing, payroll auditing, or payroll system configuration
Experience supporting HRIS or payroll system implementations/conversions
Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and payroll compliance fundamentals
Experience performing system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), or configuration validation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines in fast-paced project environments
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Dayforce experience strongly preferred
Experience supporting M&A integrations or multi-entity payroll environments
Exposure to certified payroll, prevailing wage, union payroll and reporting, and Davis-Bacon compliance
Experience working in construction, infrastructure, traffic control, or labor-intensive service industries
Experience with payroll tax setup, banking file validation, or GL/payroll reconciliation
Knowledge of workforce management and timekeeping integrations
FPC/CPP, SHRM-CP, or related certification preferred
