SUMMARYThe HRIS Analyst is responsible for the configuration, integrity, and optimization of the organization’s Workday platform. This role requires a highly detail-oriented, analytical professional who can own system accuracy, troubleshoot complex issues, and proactively improve HR processes through technology.
This individual will serve as a key technical partner to HR and business stakeholders, ensuring that Workday is configured, maintained, and continuously enhanced to support operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own data integrity across Workday, proactively identifying inconsistencies, root causes, and opportunities for improvement across HCM, Time, Absence, Payroll, and Benefits modules
- Configure and maintain Workday system settings, security roles, and business processes aligned to evolving business needs
- Investigate and resolve system issues using structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis (not just symptom resolution)
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards that drive decision-making
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for system updates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and minimal disruption
- Evaluate Workday releases and updates, assess downstream impacts, and recommend appropriate actions
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience
- Act as a subject matter expert for Workday functionality and data flows
- Continuously monitor system performance and recommend enhancements aligned to HR technology strategy
EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 - 4+ years of hands-on HRIS experience with Workday, including configuration and reporting
- Working knowledge of Workday modules (HCM required; Time, Absence, Payroll, or Benefits preferred)
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting system issues and performing root-cause analysis
- Proven ability to audit, validate, and maintain data integrity across systems
- Strong understanding of HR data structures and system integrations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required. All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with all requirements under the SAFE ACT, as well as the Credit Union’s policies and procedures related to the SAFE ACT. This includes an obligation on the employee’s part to ensure that NMLA registration pertaining to the SAFE ACT is kept current. The employee must notify the Credit Union within 30 days of any changes that need to be reflected on the NMLS registry.
