Jones Petroleum is in the process of interviewing candidates for a position in our growing Payroll Department located in Jackson, Georgia office. This is a Full Time Exempt position with full company benefits.

Requirements

Personal qualifications and attributes necessary for successful performance in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree required or similar role specific accreditation.

Ability to work on premises in Jackson, GA

• 5+ years of multi-corporation, multi-state payroll. 

• Must have strong in-depth knowledge of Payroll Technology, Payroll Processing, Tax principals, and FLSA / wage and hour laws. 

• Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks and deadlines, team leadership skills, team player, attention to detail, customer service focused (internal and external), problem solver and ability to analyze information from various sources.

• Must have excellent Excel skills, and proficient in all MSOffice programs; and overall comfortable working primarily in a computer-based environment and sitting for long periods of time.

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

• Must be open to hours being longer during payroll processing days.

• Preferred candidate will have experience in areas of customer service, payroll, human resources, benefit administration or relevant work experience. 

• Preferred candidate will have experience with PAYLOCITY payroll systems.

• Accomplishes organizations mission by completing identified tasks as needed.
