Human Resources - Payroll Admin Assistant – Sunroad Auto Shared Services, Inc. Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Human Resources - Payroll Admin Assistant will assist and provide support for bi-weekly payroll, new hire onboarding and maintain employee time records.

Essential Functions:

Greets employees and visitors and directs them to the appropriate individual in HR/Payroll. Handles telephone calls and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Serves as a point of contact for new hires on their first day of employment.  Processes new hire paperwork and ensures completion of required new hire training. Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Review all personnel files for accuracy and completeness of documentation. Provides administrative support for the Payroll and HR department. Conducts audits. Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions. Maintain satisfactory attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification:

One year of experience as Payroll Admin Assistant. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field Dayforce experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 15 pounds. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Environment/Noise:

Office setting, typically within the HR or payroll department. Climate controlled. Noise level is quiet to moderate.
