HR & Payroll Specialist

Location: U.S.-Based / Remote in US Only
Anesthesia Dynamics is seeking an organized, detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to support the day-to-day HR and payroll operations of our growing organization.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping processes accurate, helping employees, maintaining clean HR records, and supporting payroll, onboarding, benefits, PTO administration, and employee changes. The HR & Payroll Specialist will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to help ensure HR and payroll processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Support bi-weekly payroll processing, including review of employee changes, timekeeping items, deductions, earnings, PTO entries, and payroll documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee data in Paylocity and other HR systems.
• Process employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, status changes, leave-related updates, and separations.
• Support new hire onboarding, required paperwork, background check coordination, I-9/E-Verify administration, and onboarding follow-up.
• Assist with benefits administration, qualifying life event changes, benefit deductions, PTO administration, and routine employee questions.
• Help maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready HR, payroll, benefits, and employee records.
• Provide responsive, professional support to employees and managers on routine HR, payroll, onboarding, benefits, PTO, and policy questions.
• Assist with HR projects, process improvements, acquisition-related transition work, and company growth initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• Approximately 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources, payroll, HR operations, benefits administration, onboarding, employee records, or a related administrative role.
• Prior experience working in an HRIS, payroll system, applicant tracking system, or similar employee data platform.
• Understanding of basic payroll, employee data, onboarding, benefits, PTO, and employee record processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with confidential employee and payroll information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines, follow-up items, and recurring processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining responsiveness, confidentiality, accuracy, and accountability.
• Experience with Paylocity is a plus.

Education

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent HR, payroll, or administrative experience will also be considered.
