The Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Global Accounting to lead our accounting operations across all regions. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while driving consistency and excellence across a global organization.
Key Responsabilities:
- Lead global accounting operations across multiple entities, countries, and currencies
- Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and consistency
- Standardize close processes and enforce deadlines across all regions
- Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP/IFRS
- Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, substantiation, and risk identification
- Oversee and develop regional and country Controllers, driving accountability and performance
- Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to ensure alignment on reporting and financial strategy
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and audit requirements
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability of accounting operations
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks through strong internal controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including global/multinational environments
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS experience a plus)
- Deep expertise in financial close, consolidations, and reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems and driving process improvements/automation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
