Job Description

This role is eligible for permanent remote work status.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the month end closing and reporting cycle, ensuring timely closing, reconciliations, detailed reporting and analysis across all ledgers. Manage the submissions in accordance with Group timelines and formats.

  • Provide technical accounting leadership and guidance, build, and maintain relationships with Group technical accounting teams and act as an advisor to the group of companies to improve efficiencies related to their internal processes and apply best practices.

  • Devise, implement and maintain accounting procedures in accordance with Group policies.

  • Train & Coach finance teams within the group companies to ensure they are equipped to follow financial reporting standards (IFRS)

  • Manage statutory filings across all entities, ensuring accurate completion and timely filing.

  • Ensure accurate tax records are maintained and filed for VAT, GST, Income Taxes, payroll taxes, and engage with external advisors as required. Be the link with the Group Tax team and updated regularly.

  • Manage internal and external auditor relationships, through to sign-off and taking corrective actions.

  • Drive working capital performance, building forecasts, and devising actions to optimize.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, provide inputs and analysis.

  • Manage financial record keeping, adopting technological solutions whilst ensuring completeness as required by statutory authorities.

  • Support M&A activity as needed

  • Collaborate with other business units and groups on the integration of new acquisitions to align with Lumine best practices.

As part of a small Finance team supporting a fast-paced business, the Financial Controller will be expected to support the wider Finance Organization on tasks outside of the core responsibilities herein, as discussed and agreed with the CFO, to ensure adequate coverage at peak times and holiday cover.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Holds an Accounting Qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).

  • Demonstrates strength in application of current technical accounting knowledge.

  • Experience of multiple entities / countries / currencies within a Group organization.

  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & presentation) with internal and external shareholders at all organization levels.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally from time to time (expected less than 10%).

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate and work with the business as a business partner.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong on use of accounting/ERP software, comfortable with Microsoft Office tools & preference for candidates with Netsuite experience.
