Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Finance and Administration, the Grant Accountant, Local Programs performs a multitude of finance, administrative and accounting related activities necessary for the comprehensive management of NJTPA’s grants and contracts, while ensuring compliance with university (NJIT), Federal, State and local laws, regulations and funding requirements. Primary areas of responsibility include maintenance of finance/budget accounts, documentation and record files, preparing, administering, managing and reporting the status of various federally funded contracts; reviewing and processing invoices for compliance with contract awards and applicable regulations, policies and procedures; monitoring project budgets/contract awards; monitoring federal funding agreements (budgets and period of performance); sponsor invoicing and reports; and other related financial and administrative management activities as assigned.

NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
