Graduate Accountant

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Zeus Packaging is seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated Graduate Accountant to join our finance team. The role will be assisting the financial controller with all aspects of financial reporting and analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organisation within the packaging industry.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the local Financial Controller, the role will be an integral part of the finance team, assisting in part in all day-to-day activities of the Finance Function.

 Specific responsibilities will include:

• Prepare Bank reconciliations
• Record supplier invoices on the ERP system
• Prepare and execute supplier payments (EFT run & manual payments)
• Record supplier payments on ERP system
• Prepare cash sales reconciliations
• Prepare cash lodgements
• Prepare overhead expense analysis
• Support ongoing financial projects and finance team
• Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports within defined timelines

SCOPE OF POSITION       

The post holder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties. The role does not have line management responsibility.

LOCATION

This position is located in Limerick Packaging, Eastlink Business Park, Ballysimon Rd, Limerick.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum 2.1 final grade
• Hands on industry experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Enthusiastic to learn more about the finance function and develop with the team.
• Strong IT skills including advanced proficiency in Excel.
