Global Intelligence & Tax Solutions Implementations Manager Role:
The Global Intelligence & Tax Solutions Implementations Manager plays a lead role in delivering our Global Intelligence and Tax products and services to our current and prospective clients. The role requires a subject matter expert in global tax and tax mobility for global share plans and an expert in Global Intelligence and Shareworks tax tools. The role focuses on implementing multi-national clients on our suite of product offerings, mentoring people across the organization, including the implementations Specialists, Associates and Shareworks service teams, and evolving and improving our implementation process. A key part of the role will be looking at ways to streamline our existing processes, to increase the capacity of Tax Mobility implementations so we can reach a greater number of clients. This will include establishing a process for Global Intelligence products to be implemented as part of the initial client Onboarding, ensuring this is structured and sustainable providing for a positive client experience.
Our ideal candidate is technically savvy, with strong communication skills, likes to work through challenges and has a strong knowledge of Shareworks and the Tax Engine, specifically the mobility module. They will have a passion for global tax compliance and tax mobility. They will have a deep belief in team success, a willingness to adapt to continuous change, and a desire to take ownership over responsibilities. They will also have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Tax Implementations Manager Responsibilities:
- Possesses an expert understanding of Shareworks and the Tax Engine.
- Implement new clients as per their contracted services and products – including working closely with clients to understand their needs, rules and policies, and implement the tools to accurately reflect them.
- Serve as the first point of contact when onboarding new clients and provide training, which includes: explaining product functionalities and capabilities, demonstrating product set up and educating on to how to maximize benefits from using the platform.
- Manage the implementations pipeline to allow accurate forecasting of start and completion dates and determine team velocity.
- Train and mentor implementations team members to help them become self-sufficient in client implementations and ensure a common set of practices are used across the team.
- Define and refine the implementations process to improve both accuracy and efficiency of client implementations, and smooth transition to service teams after go live.
- Work across the organization to identify and implement improvements in team efficiency, including working with other teams and utilizing automation tools.
- Feed client requirements and market trends into the Shareworks development roadmap to ensure Shareworks remains a disruptive force with leading technology in the regulatory, compliance and tax space.
- Educate the broader Shareworks by Morgan Stanley organization on the operation and maintenance of Tax Mobility, including service and sales teams.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full understanding of tax legislation, tax rules and mobility rules around the globe.
- Use knowledge of tax legislation, tax policies and mobility rules to build on and refine information on the Global Intelligence Platform and in Shareworks.
- Share knowledge and expertise both with colleagues and with professional contacts through participation in industry events.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Shareworks and Tax Mobility preferred, including hands on familiarity with all steps in implementing and testing the Tax Mobility module, importing client data, and configuring client reports.
- Strong process focus with demonstrated ability to organize and manage a client queue to ensure predictable start and finish dates while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or any other related area required.
- Qualified lawyer or accountant desirable but not required.
- Highly tech-oriented person capable of understanding complexities of Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Incredible attention to detail.
- Fluency in both oral and written English is required; additional spoken and written languages are an asset.
- Team player mentality and place a high value on building strong relationships.
- Line management experience beneficial.
- Comfortable delivering effective presentations to a variety of audiences at all levels across different media and deploying differing styles.
- Demonstrated competency with common technology and technical concepts, including: Software as a Service (SaaS), Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Shareworks is an asset.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
- Desire to contribute to the growth of the business, our platform and our user’s experience.
