We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for finance and accounting professionals experienced in reviewing financial documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, accounting analyses, reporting materials, reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and presentation-ready business artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on finance and accounting artifact review, rubric-based evaluation, document and spreadsheet assessment, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and presentation issues.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Finance & Accounting Artifact Review
- Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Review financial materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
- Assess whether accounting and finance conclusions are supported by appropriate calculations, assumptions, evidence, and analysis
- Identify inaccurate assumptions, weak financial logic, unclear documentation, incomplete analysis, or poor linkage between data and recommendations
Accounting & Financial Analysis Evaluation
- Review materials involving financial statements, management reports, journal entry support, reconciliations, budget files, forecast models, and variance analysis
- Evaluate calculations, classifications, accounting treatment, financial presentation, and reporting consistency
- Assess spreadsheets, summaries, and executive-facing finance materials for usability and professional quality
- Provide clear written feedback that improves finance and accounting artifact quality
Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review
- Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
- Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
- Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
- Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, audit support, financial analysis, or related work
- Native or professional fluency in English
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
- Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
Educational Background
- Academic backgrounds in accounting, finance, economics, business, audit, taxation, management, or related fields may be relevant
- Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
- Professional training in accounting, finance, reporting, financial modeling, audit, or budgeting may also be relevant depending on project scope
Nice to Have
- Master's degree, MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or comparable finance/accounting credential
- Experience creating or reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, management reports, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, audit schedules, or finance presentations
- Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting standards, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and spreadsheet-based financial analysis
- Experience reviewing presentation decks for clarity, polish, and business-facing communication quality
- Strong ability to evaluate both financial substance and visual/presentation quality
