Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of the monthly accounting reporting package, including financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.
- Review and approve detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including oversight of account classifications, cleanup initiatives, and correction of errors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Present and lead monthly balance sheet review meetings with management.
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support management decision-making.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to strengthen internal controls.
- Maintain supporting documentation for audit purposes and serve as a key point of contact for audit requests and technical accounting matters.
- Oversee the timely completion of month-end close in accordance with corporate deadlines.
- Champion special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements as needed.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- Minimum five years of accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Preferred: Preferred: Strong working knowledge of SAP and Power Bi report building.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college preferably in accounting.
