JOB DESCRIPTION
APX is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated General Accountant to support the financial operations of multiple affiliated companies within the APX organization. This position will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, and month-end close processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across multiple entities in a dynamic, growing organization. This role requires someone who is adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing changing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain Accounts Payable processes across multiple APX companies, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and customer account reconciliation.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for multiple business entities.
- Support financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Assist with inventory accounting and manufacturing cost accounting activities.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, sales, and leadership teams to provide accurate financial information and support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within accounting functions.
- Support external audits, tax preparation, and other financial compliance activities.
- Assist with special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other initiatives associated with a growing organization.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities across several business entities.
