Full Charge Bookkeeper

Architectural Wood Design, Inc. is the largest custom casework company in Central California. Our family-owned business began in 1984 and continues to grow and serve our community with passion, excellence, and integrity. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support the daily accounting operations of a fast-growing manufacturing and construction company. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will own accounts payable operations while also supporting payroll, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Own the full Accounts Payable process including preparing weekly AP check runs for CFO approval
• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely including matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Monitor due dates and manage payment schedules as well as maintain organized documentation.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing including reviewing timesheets for accuracy.
• Coordinate payroll-related updates with HR/accounting and assist with payroll record maintenance.
• Maintain general ledger for accuracy and record journal entries and daily accounting transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations as well as reconcile credit card accounts and loan balances.
• Assist with month end and year end closing.
• Support accurate financial reporting to CFO and CPA for audit and tax filings.
• Maintain accounting organization filing systems and improve processes and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
• QuickBooks Desktop experience required
• Construction or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Position offers a competitive salarybetween $25-$30 per hour with generous benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Time, and 401(k) with Company match.
