What makes this role exciting

The French Payroll Specialist is responsible for the entire payroll cycle. The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accuracy of payroll and payroll-related information following all established statutory requirements and managing the payroll process. The ideal candidate is strongly oriented to high-quality data and results. Clear and accurate communication with clients and with the internal operations team should be performed according to the internal procedures.

Main responsibilities

• Manage all payroll activities in line with the monthly payroll calendar and submit the payroll figures monthly. 

• Ensure the payrolls comply with French legislation and statutory requirements. 

• Ability to reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure the accuracy of information before processing payroll. 

• Research discrepancies in payroll information and / or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processing. 

• Validation of the payroll outputs

• Maintain payroll information, files, and records to provide up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance. 

• Analyze payroll-related information to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll. 

• Prepare the monthly payroll reports and upload them to CP platform

• Collaborate with the Implementation team to ensure that the handover of new payrolls is transferred to the In-House team successfully

Experience needed for this role

• English and French speaking is essential. English level: B2

• Expert level of knowledge of local legal requirements, statutory forms, and reporting

• Expert level in complex payrolls (BIK, stock options/RSU, non-residents, court order…)

• Proven experience in end to end payroll processing at a specialist level

• Proficient in business software experience required: Excel, Word, Email Apps, Microsoft Apps

• Good decision-making skills and forward-thinking, able to plan and organize own workload

• Knowledge of TeamsRH software would be advantageous

• Experience working in an international environment would be an advantage
