A day in the life
We are seeking an FP&A Manager to play a key role in executing Prologis’ corporate forecasting and quarterly earnings process. This position plays a key supporting role within the company’s financial planning ecosystem, helping translate business activity across a global real estate platform into an integrated forecast, while also supporting internal reporting initiatives and contributing to the advancement of the FP&A technology and planning environment.
This is a highly hands-on role within a complex and interconnected financial environment. The individual in this position will work within the company’s corporate financial model, contributing to the integration of various segments of Prologis. The role partners closely with senior team members, supporting accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement of outputs.
Success requires strong analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to work through detailed and highly interdependent processes to ensure forecast accuracy and reliability.
The FP&A Manager partners closely with various teams around Prologis to align assumptions and ensure consistency across forecast outputs. The role also supports senior finance leadership, including the CFO and SVP of FP&A, during the quarterly earnings cycle, including quarterly Business Planning updates, Earnings Prep and Board of Directors Materials, contributing analysis that informs executive decision-making and reporting
Key responsibilities include:
Corporate Forecasting & Earnings Execution
- Own execution of defined workstreams within the quarterly earnings cycle, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain and update components of the integrated corporate financial model
- Prepare structured variance and driver analyses as needed
Cross-Functional Coordination & Accountability
- Coordinate cross-functionally to gather inputs
- Track milestones and dependencies across the earnings timeline to support smooth execution
Strategic Planning and Support
- Support scorecard reporting and performance tracking
- Contribute to management and organization of Board materials, Earnings Prep and Business Plan
- Provide Analytical Support and analysis for some PLD investments
Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain documentation of processes key to running the global forecast
- Identify opportunities for automation and improvement through thoughtful use of technology
- Contribute to the company’s enterprise modeling transformation by helping translate current model logic into future-state system requirements and supporting testing and transition efforts
- Support ongoing management of forecasting tools and datasets
- Assist in maintaining supporting materials
Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- 4–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, public accounting, investment banking, or a related finance role
- Strong understanding of financial statements and forecasting mechanics, with hands-on experience building and maintaining financial models
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and disciplined execution
- Ability to analyze complex financial information, identify key drivers, and clearly communicate results to senior stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally to gather inputs and resolve discrepancies
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Ability and willingness to work in the San Francisco office 3–4 days per week in alignment with company policy
Preferred:
- Experience working with integrated financial models that include income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting
- Experience modeling or forecasting financial impacts of complex ownership structures, including joint ventures or open-end funds
- Experience participating in financial system implementations, model redesign initiatives, or planning process improvements
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
- Familiarity with Power Query or enterprise planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Pigment)
Hiring Salary Range of: $140k - $170k. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
