Summary

Maintains all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strict internal controls for lending activities. Oversees month-end closing, manages cash flow, monitors mortgage origination/hedging, leads audits, and provides strategic forecasting for executive team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, transactions related to general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Perform monthly closing, ensuring accuracy of balance sheets and income statements.
• Analyze budget vs actual month over month variances.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Coordinate and prepare tax schedules, returns and information.
• Manage cash flow
• Monitor origination, pipeline hedging, and warehouse lending activity to ensure proper accounting.
• Develop controls, manage tax compliance, and ensure adherence to mortgage regulations.
• Oversee loan funding accounts and cash flow forecasting.
• Other finance and administrative duties as required

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in mortgage banking accounting.
• Proficiency with LoanVision accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Understanding of mortgage loan lifecycles and Dodd-Frank/regulatory requirements.
