Job Description
- Support Global BG CFO and BG President in financial planning & analysis by analyzing relevant information, trends (internal and external), and drawing conclusions to support strategic and operational planning
- Drive the Business Group finance operational rhythm, assuring alignment and process standardization across Divisions, Areas, Key Accounts, Functions and Corporate FP&A. Includes being fully engaged in the Strategic Planning process, Operating Plan target setting and execution, Quarterly Operating and Financial Reviews
- Lead the financial analysis of BG investment opportunities and BG portfolio initiatives
- Drive standardization and centralization of financial reports to leverage resources, speed and simplicity across the BG – how can we standardize with four leaders?
- Interact with the international Areas as well as key countries to get alignment in forecasting and initiatives – who are they liaising with?
- Develop deep understanding of the business models for products/services sold at the different channels and key accounts, in order to provide best in class financial counsel.
- Full responsibility for all components of the BG Sponsored P&L
- Acquisition/Divestiture analysis and support
- Attract, develop, and retain talent
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or other business and/or finance discipline from an accredited institution
- Ten (10) years in finance or finance related experience
- Seven (7) years of leadership experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong financial acumen - ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms
- Prior experience in Manufacturing Finance / Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management
- Strong experience influencing across all levels of an organization
- Solid understanding of multiple workstreams and how they come together
- Solid business knowledge and acumen as well as strategic thinking mindset
- Creative problem solving - ability to work with diverse functional teams to evaluate and address key issues
- Risk management analysis skills
- Self-starter with ability to drive change while navigating complexity
- Track record of challenging the status quo and driving change management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop talent, not just in direct reporting line
Work location: Hybrid
Travel: May include up to 20%
