FP&A Analyst
As an FPA analyst at our medical device development and manufacturing company, your primary role will be to analyze and optimize the company’s financial performance and to provide data and information to the Finance Manager. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to track and report on key financial metrics, identify areas for cost reduction or revenue growth, and provide recommendations for improvement.
In addition, you will be responsible for financial forecasts and budgets, conducting variance analysis, and preparing financial reports for the Finance Manager to whom you will report. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping the company make informed decisions to drive profitability and success.

Essential Job Functions:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist and prepare annual budget creation and monthly/quarterly re-forecasts.
- Financial Modeling: Build various models for financial forecasting, scenario planning, and decision support.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze actual financial results against budget and forecasts, providing explanations for variances.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business drivers to inform management.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with departments (sales and operations) to provide analytical insights and align financial goals.
- Process Improvement: Enhance reporting tools, automate data processes, and strengthen financial policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in manufacturing or the medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and analyze data to identify trends and provide insights.
- Report preparation and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of ERP systems for financial planning and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, bend or move up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Availability for emergency response outside normal business hours.
- Ability to work onsite
- $72,500 to $80,000 annually to start, Depending Upon Qualifications and Experience
