Fixed Asset Master Data Management: Maintain complete and accurate fixed asset records, including asset descriptions, asset tag, locations, department code, useful lives, capitalization dates and asset classifications. Asset Additions and Capitalization: Review capital expenditure transactions, validate supporting documents, ensure compliance with capitalization policy and record asset additions in the fixed asset register (Oracle). Construction in Progress Monitoring: Track project costs under construction in progress, coordinate with project owners and ensure timely transfer of completed projects to the appropriate fixed asset categories. Depreciation and Amortization: Calculate, review, and post depreciation or amortization expenses accurately and on schedule, in accordance with approved useful lives and accounting policies. Asset Transfers, Retirements, and Disposals: Process asset transfers, retirements, disposals, scrap and sales with proper approvals, documentation and accounting entries. Support impairment reviews, obsolescence assessments, and asset retirement obligation analysis when applicable. Reconciliations: Reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis and investigate, resolve and document any reconciling items. Identify control gaps, process issues, or unusual asset movements and escalate them to management as needed. Physical Inventory and Asset Verification: Coordinate periodic physical counts, validate asset existence and condition, identify missing or idle assets and recommend corrective actions. Month-End and Year-End Close: Prepare and post fixed asset journal entries, depreciation entries and forecast, roll-forward schedules, asset aging and other close-related reports within agreed timelines. Review and analyze variances between actual and forecast depreciation, asset balances and capital spending trends. Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal, external, tax, and statutory audits. Collaboration: Guide business teams on fixed asset policies, required documentation, asset tagging, and capitalization requirements. Others: Perform other related duties and activities that may be assigned by immediate superior or management.
