These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.As part of the financial services tax team at PwC, you will focus on offering compliance, consulting and advisory services to clients on various tax matters. You will provide advice and guidance on tax compliance, planning, and strategy, helping financial institutions optimise their tax positions and navigate complex tax regulations.
The Opportunity:
As a Financial Services Corporate Tax Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that’ll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:
- Contributing to our financial services tax team through a combination of ongoing technical learning and upskilling junior staff
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to partners and other senior team members
- Be involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
- Assist in the management and delivering of large projects for prominent public and private clients
- Train, coach, mentor, and supervise staff
- Collaborate with our outsourced delivery centres including the development of tax automation processes and tools
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
- Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct
What You’ll Bring
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
- CPA designation (or equivalent) with participation in the CPA In-Depth Tax Program, or MTax as a strong asset
- Proven tax consulting experience in the financial services industry or a public accounting firm
- Strong technical background and broad-based tax skills with proven experience in a professional services firm or in industry tax consulting and/or compliance experience
- A collaborative leader with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills and possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
- Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals
- Proficiency in using current technologies and curiosity around GenAI is required

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
