- Prepare financial statements, reporting packages, disclosures, and supporting schedules for assigned entities.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances and communicate key findings to management.
- Consolidate financial information and entries for financial reporting.
- Research and respond to financial reporting and analysis requests from leadership.
- Prepare and post journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Monitor cash positions and cash flows and provide reporting as needed.
- Prepare intercompany billings and related accounting entries.
- Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to gather information, solve complex financial questions, and develop practical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Support internal and external audits and assist with accounting systems, reporting tools, and process improvements.
- At least five years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research, interpret, and communicate financial information.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to people at all levels of the organization.
- Sound judgment and confidence to ask questions, seek clarification, and appropriately challenge or push back when needed.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
- High-energy, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Background in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of financial reporting for regulated entities.
- Exposure to accounting system implementation, process improvement, or reporting automation.
