Financial Planning & Analysis MBA Intern

For the past century, HPS has grown to deliver electrical power solutions to global markets and provides solutions for complex applications like, mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Financial Planning & Analysis -MBA Intern, come grow with us! This is a 4 to 8 month position starting September 2026.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, this role support the Director of FP&A with multiple projects, models and spreadsheet development, with a large focus around automation where possible. This role will be able to support on key projects including 2027 budget and KPI reporting, while also having the chance to present and work with senior leadership. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Budget Support
  • data entry
  • participate in and have the chance to lead some meetings
  • model and spreadsheet development
• KPI Reporting / Automation (support on backlog, inventory turns, etc...)
• Monthly Reporting Support

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in an MBA program OR Master of Business Economics and have completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business or Finance
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, D365, Co-pilot and Power BI
• Familiar with building and automating complex financial models
• Proficiency with Prophix or a similar system would be an asset
• Highly organized, detail oriented and an individual who who has good time management skills
• Curious mindset, interested in learning

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Thursday May 21st, 2026

The hourly rate for this position will range between $27/hr and $30/hr.
