The Gig
Ever look at a pile of numbers and instantly see the plot twist hiding inside? L2 is hunting for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst who can turn raw data into the kind of insight that makes leadership say “wait, why didn’t we see that sooner?”
You'll sit at the crossroads of Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain — forecasting demand, dissecting product margins, and keeping a sharp eye on the numbers that actually move the business. This isn't a "close the books and go home" role. It's a "help us decide what to do next" role.
If you get a little thrill from a clean variance analysis, if Excel shortcuts are basically your love language, and if you can explain gross margin to someone who's never seen a P&L — we should talk.
What You'll Actually Do
? Build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models (revenue, COGS, opex, capex)
? Partner with production and supply chain on demand planning vs. manufacturing capacity
? Own monthly/quarterly performance reporting, including variance vs. budget and prior year
? Dig into product-level profitability — raw materials, labor efficiency, decoration method costs
? Track the KPIs that matter: gross margin %, inventory turns, order fill rate, labor utilization
? Present findings to leadership in a way that actually lands (no jargon walls)
? Help evaluate capital investments — new decorating equipment, warehouse automation, etc.
? Jump into ad hoc analysis whenever a “hey, can you pull some numbers on this?” comes in
? Partner with IT/Finance to make systems and data more accurate and less painful to use
RequirementsWhat You Bring
? Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CFA, or CPA is a nice bonus, not a requirement)
? 3+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
? Real comfort with cost accounting and inventory management concepts
? Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience strongly preferred
? Bonus points if you've used AI tools (like Claude) to work smarter, not just harder
? The ability to translate “financial speak” into plain English for non-finance folks
? A collaborative streak — you'll be working across production, sales, and supply chain
? Solid organizational chops and the ability to juggle competing deadlines without dropping the ball
L2 is looking for someone who's as comfortable building a five-year model as they are explaining it to someone who just wants to know “so, are we making money on this or not?” If that's you, let's chat.
