The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of FP&A and Business Partnership will be responsible to provide financial leadership in decision making processes through provision of risks, financial information, and analytics for the business. This role will partner with the business to drive business growth and profitability. This role will be responsible for gaining business alignment to successfully identify and understand the business strategy. This role is responsible for leading and executing the budgeting process, variance reporting, leading financial analyst team in delivering value added reporting and analytics and managing the customer agreement and quoting process.

 

  • Lead and deliver the preparation of the company's budget accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
  • Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
  • Guide and support Executive team members in the development of KPIs and underlying measurement systems (e.g., Power BI)
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
  • Compile key business metrics and report on them to management.
  • Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
  • Month end responsibilities related to margin analysis, inventory, and management reporting.
  • Review and approve customer quotes within designated thresholds.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of price lists.
  • Direct Pricing strategy and initiatives to simplify pricing structure and optimize margins.
  • Develop and mentor Financial Analyst and direct priorities.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives as assigned by CFO

What You Need

  • University degree specializing in finance, commerce or equivalent. 
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Controller, Manager FP&A, Finance Manager
  • Proven track record to deliver “outside the box” analytics in measuring product and business performance.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and manage a high-performance team focused on accountability and meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and provide follow-up
  • A strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Above average analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills, including information gathering and problem solving
  • Demonstrated focus on results and business/process improvements
  • Proven ability to set and achieve objectives.

  • Co-ordinates the overall service our customer receives. Define, meet with and review KPI results with Leadership.
  • Provide business expertise into local finance processes.
