Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Experience working in the construction or federal construction industry is a plus
- Familiarity with DCAA accounting requirements is a plus
Qualifications
- Strong background in accounting and financial reporting
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Working knowledge of Procore and QuickBooks Online preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide clear and actionable financial insights
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making
- Evaluate and improve financial workflows, approval systems, and reporting structures
- Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Analyze project financial performance and prepare reports for management review
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Organize and maintain financial documentation, receipts, and supporting records
- Assist with tax preparation and external reporting requirements
- Assist with biweekly collection of certified payroll information for federal projects
