This is an exciting opportunity to join DLL Ireland’s Dublin-based finance team as a Financial Controller within a successful and growing organisation. Working alongside a team of experienced finance professionals, you will play a key role in a dynamic finance function that supports a thriving business. We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, or ACA) who is a self-starter with strong accounting discipline and a focus on controls. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes with a strong customer-focused mindset.

Day to day:
- Coordinate the month end process so that the general ledger is closed adequately in line with DLL and IFRS standards.
- Bring the daily general ledger and accounting activities to a higher level by reviewing monthly balance sheet files and proposing improvements.
- Coordinate the annual year-end financial audit and the early warning audit with external auditors. Provide information on financial administrative issues to auditors and follow up on action points raised by auditors.
- Implement and monitor the risk control framework. Optimize and implement financial process improvements.
- Manage the tax processes including corporation tax and VAT return process.

Core Competencies:
- Strong Excel skills
- Takes ownership of their tasks
- Excellent organising skills with ability to work to tight deadlines.
- An ability to work as part of a team and to deal communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner.
- Qualified Accountant with relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA).
- Practical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102.
- Operational knowledge of VAT and other corporate taxation matters.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for companies in Ireland (Statutory deadlines, filing requirements etc.)
- Working closely with other departments to identify opportunities to assist existing clients
- Experience in using Oracle FMS an advantage
The job provides an opportunity to join a successful division of DLL Group and the potential to develop your career through the organisation in future years. DLL supports a remote working policy and therefore it is expected that this role will be performed with a mix of home-office working and Dublin office presence. DLL’s understanding is that the Dublin office is our collaborative hub and therefore the candidate must be available to be present in Dublin as required to be fully effective in the role.
