Overview
As a Financial Analyst, you support company performance through data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. You work with business partners to track financial results, identify trends, and contribute to planning processes. You help translate data into insights that inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to perform monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and long-range planning.
- Provide support in financial aspects including headcount planning, reporting, cost control, and analysis.
- Track and analyze spend across payroll, contractors, infrastructure, software, T&E and all other non-payroll expenses.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis and reporting for leadership and executive stakeholders, understanding the key drivers behind the variances.
- Collaborate with various departments (Accounting, Procurement, IT, Marketing, etc.) to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with overall company goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or accounting
- Experience with Excel (pivot tables, basic modeling) and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with non-finance partners
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to set clearly defined objectives, establish priorities, plan activities, and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or MBA
- Prior experience with Pigment and Salesforce
- Prior experience supporting and partnering with c-suite level stakeholders
- Understanding of general accounting principles, month end close, GL responsibilities
- Comfort using AI tools such as chat based assistants, summarization tools, and reporting copilots to support daily work.
