Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst (FA) will report to the Controller and support finance and business departments across the company, driving financial initiatives and offering insights to positively impact financials and operations. S/he will be responsible for some day-to-day responsibilities, but primarily ad-hoc reporting and analysis projects to further the strategic focus of the finance department.

Essential Functions

• Help develop and maintain short and long-term financial models, budgets and forecasts
• Prepare, analyze, and present reports, charts, and diagrams in summarized and creative ways
• Identify anomalies or errors in data and lead the process for correction
• Coordinate and be a champion for automating processes to maintain consistent growth
• Support the Finance team with other various tasks as needed

• Detail-oriented with a big-picture perspective
• Insightful analytical skills and a good knowledge of accounting and reporting fundamentals
• Excellent communicator with a focus on explaining financial concepts and recommendations to non-finance professionals

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate practical time management skills by completing assignments within a given due date
• Self-motivated, constantly looking for ways to add value to the organization
• Good understanding of financial systems and IT infrastructure

Preferred Skills for Performing the Job

• Experience with BI/analytics tools such as Power BI
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• Familiarity with organizing and reporting with large data sets
• Life-long learner, committed to professional development

Required Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related work experience
• 2-5 years (or more) of financial analysis and/or accounting experience

Position Type/Expected Hours 

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00 PM.

Physical Demands

This position is largely sedentary. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, and hear.
