- Participates with Operations in managing the full lifecycle of a job, including RFQ, job creation, billing, purchasing, and customer and supplier payments.
- Analyzes job performance by reviewing all costs and billings compared to actual performance for one U.S. division and one Canadian entity.
- Manages a large volume of data for various customers and site locations concurrently.
- Maintains Omni Partners reporting and prepares monthly check requests.
- Oversees Cleveland-Cliffs billing and Used Oil Report tracking.
- Manages Stellantis reconciliation billing.
- Interprets Total Waste Management (TWM) contracts and the Operations reconciliation tracking file, including TWM services, episodic activity, and rebates.
- Provides month-end close support, including updates to the Billing Tracker file, leadership reports, and Volume Report Tracker.
- Prepares expense accruals for review after Accounts Payable close.
- Understands the revenue recognition process and interprets month-end reports.
- Coordinates analysis, reporting, and other assigned duties in collaboration with the finance team.
- Assists with creating budget files for each site location during the annual budget process.
- Provides and directs procedures necessary to maintain proper accounting records, internal controls, and financial services for the division.
- Participates in divisional and departmental meetings.Adheres to Quality Systems requirements and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the leadership team and/or general management.
- Minimum of five years of related accounting or finance experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in job cost accounting principles is essential.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, including frequency distribution, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Self-starter with the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and independently.
