  1. Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of related experience or HS diploma and seven (7) years of related experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in budget and financial analysis as evidenced by application materials.

  1. Degree in business, finance, accounting, higher education, public administration, or related field.
  2. Strong time-management and organizational skills and self-motivated as evidenced by application materials.
  3. Demonstrated experience with the structure, policies, and procedures of the University of Kansas Lawrence campus as evidenced by application materials.
  4. Experience using PeopleSoft system(s) for HR/Payroll and/or Financials, version 9.0 or higher.

Position Overview
The Financial Analyst Intermediate reports directly to the Director of Finance for Operations and provides operational‑wide budgeting, accounting, reporting, and financial analysis support for KU Operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring fiscal accuracy, compliance, and effective resource management across all Operations units.
The analyst is responsible for monthly reconciliations, supporting unit leaders in staying within budget, attending financial officer meetings, and serving as the primary preparer of the annual Operations budget within University designated systems. The role supports data-driven decision making by producing clear, timely, and accurate financial reports and analysis.
