Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitors assigned workflow related to financial operations and administrative support functions.
- Performs financial reconciliations, analysis, reviews, and reporting of activities involving institutional systems and ensures accuracy, compliance, and proper fiscal controls.
- Processes and monitors billing and revenue activities, including work orders, invoicing, reimbursements, collections, and cash receipts.
- Reviews and monitors departmental budget activity, purchase orders, travel, reimbursements, pcard activity, encumbrances, and budget revisions; prepares financial reports and analysis to support departmental operations.
- Assists with annual budget preparation, projections, and supporting documentation for management review.
- Identifies and resolves financial transaction issues which include insufficient funding, missing documentation, and system processing errors.
- Coordinates annual inventory and asset management activities in compliance with institutional policies and reporting requirements.
- Serves as a resource for staff and supported departments regarding finance processes, institutional procedures, accounting practices, procurement requirements, and transaction workflow
- Assists with audits, reviews, and compliance inquiries by gathering documentation researching transactions, preparing reports, and explaining financial processes or activity.
- Participates in special projects related to financial operations, reporting improvements, process enhancements, and departmental support initiatives
- Communicates regularly with supported departments regarding transaction status, policy updates, deadlines, documentation needs, budget concerns, and operational issues
- Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR
