Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.
- Provides financial and administrative support for departmental operations, including procurement, accounts payable, billing, revenue processing, and financial transaction review.
- Processes and monitors financial transactions in institutional systems to ensure accuracy, compliance with policies and procedures, and timely completion of activities.
- Reviews invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy, proper funding, and compliance with institutional requirements.
- Assists with procurement and encumbrance management activities, including monitoring purchase order activity and processing related financial transactions.
- Supports departmental billing, revenue collection, and cash receipt functions, including customer invoicing, payment reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Maintains financial records and supporting documentation and assists with routine financial reporting and transaction review activities.
- Communicates with departments, vendors, and customers regarding financial transactions, documentation requirements, and resolution of financial issues.
- Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Experience in a Higher Education setting; knowledge of FITS, Cash Receipt System, A/R Contracting System, Tech-Buy, Cognos and TMA.
Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
