Title: Financial Analyst

Location : New York City , NY. 10010

Rate : $30 to $34/hr on W2

Duration : 13 weeks of contract with possibility of extension

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst I is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and preparing reports to support departmental leadership in making informed fiscal decisions. The role ensures internal financial control across operating budgets, restricted funds, endowments, grants, and other departmental financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Review monthly budgets, general ledgers, and fund accounts, including clinical trials and grants where applicable Perform variance and fluctuation analysis and provide financial insights Communicate with accounting teams to resolve variances and ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses Prepare and support regular financial reporting, invoices, and budget variance discussions with administrators Process purchase orders, contracts, invoices, check requests, petty cash, travel requests, and reimbursements Monitor grants, clinical trials, and other revenue/expense-driven projects for compliance and accuracy Prepare deposit transmittals for checks and cash to ensure proper crediting to accounts Assist with payroll input, review, and record maintenance Monitor insurance payments and revenue streams when applicable Support ad hoc financial analysis and related departmental duties

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance or related analytical role
